Two Ebooks About Statistics For Research
Written by Ari Julianto
Researchers frequently use statistics to analyze their results especially in analyzing the data. Why do researchers use statistics? Statistics can help understand a phenomenon by confirming or rejecting a hypothesis. It is vital to how we acquire knowledge to most scientific theories.
Statistics is used to check the accuracy, consistency or degree of usage of the results obtained by the researcher. Here we should know that statistics is a mid term tool used in every research. It will not decide any research conclusions. Statistics is a methodology used in middle of each research.
To help you in understanding and conducting your research that relate to analyzing the data, today's posting I would like to share with you two of my ebook collection about statistics.
1. An Introduction to Statistics by George Woodbury
One of the main goals in writing this book was to help students understand statistics, to understand the “why” as well as the “how.” Toward this end, the many examples in this book are supplemented by clear explanations. Whenever possible, the writer tried to show that this is a course of connected material rather than a group of disjointed topics. He tried to foreshadow material that will show up in later chapters, while referring back to material covered earlier in the text. Throughout the book, the exercises and examples describe situations that students can relate to.

2. Statistics for Research By Shirley Dowdy et al
Considering that the original “Student” of statistics was concerned about whether he could understand the mathematical underpinnings of the discipline, it is reasonable that today’s students have similar misgivings. Lest this concern keep our students from appreciating the importance of statistics in research, the authors consciously avoid theoretical mathematical discussions. This books discuss how statistics is used to attempt to answer questions raised in research and some other related topics.
